What is the rice divination? Is this method of divination accurate?

In the vast system of I Ching divination, if we say that "Da Yan divination (straw)" is a solemn and complex classical ritual, and "money divination" is a standardized calculation model, then "rice divination" is the most representative algorithm for everyday life.

Rice divination does not require special tools; it can be performed using ordinary rice, and it is widely circulated among the people due to its "easy sourcing, quick casting, and high accuracy."

1. Core Principles of Rice Divination

Rice divination essentially utilizes a process of "random grabbing" to convert into binary symbols.

The grains of white rice are small and numerous. When the diviner focuses their mind and grabs a handful of rice, the odd or even count of the grains, along with the remainder, perfectly corresponds to the yin-yang and trigrams in the universe. This is the information resonance generated by "thought" and "randomness."

2. Standard Divination Process (Three Grabs to Determine the Hexagram)

The operation of rice divination is very intuitive; all you need is a bowl of flat white rice. After the diviner calms their mind and contemplates the question, they perform three grabbing actions, counting the number of grains precisely each time:

First Grab: Total number of grains ÷ 8, look at the remainder to determine the upper hexagram (external environment)
